'For the first time in forever' Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be reopening!

Disney has announced Blizzard Beach will be reopening November 13, 2022 with new Frozen theming! My daughter is the biggest Frozen fan, as I’m sure most us are, and was so excited to hear this news!

Once the tropical winter wonderland opens its doors on November 13th there will be new wintery water attractions for guests of all ages as well as new frosty eats and treats for all to enjoy!

Here are some of the new (and some old) ways to enjoy Blizzard Beach we are most excited about…

Fun with Frozen friends at Tike’s Peak

The youngest guests can enjoy the kid-sized thrills of Tike’s Peak where they can enjoy miniature slides, splash around in front of Anna and Elsa’s igloo castle, and play with Olaf and his Snowgie pals in the wading pool.

Holiday Season Delights

One of my favorite things about the holiday season are the holiday flavors! And one of my favorite holiday flavors is… peppermint! The opening of Blizzard Beach will include a few limited time food and beverage offerings including a Peppermint Milkshake and the Orange Bird DOLE Whip cone.

To top off the holiday atmosphere, through December 31st, guests can enjoy daily snowfall, holiday music, festive inner tubes and a tropical-dressed Santa!

Take the Plunge Down Summit Plummet

Did you know that the fastest attraction at Walt Disney World is right here at Blizzard Beach? Descend Mount Gushmore in a near-vertical drop on the tallest and fastest free-fall body slide in town.

New and Returning Culinary Creations

Guests can savor brand new bites like Cajun Shrimp and Grits, and sip on new beverage options like a Watta-Melon Passion Lemonade from Lottawatta Lounge. Returning favorite flavors include seasonal DOLE Whip offerings, a Double Bacon Cheeseburger and the iconic 50th Ice Dream Sand Pail Sundae.

Kick back in a Polar Patio

Need time to unwind? You can rent a private patio space complete with perks like comfortable seating options and refillable drink mugs for a relaxing break from the action.

Ready, Set, Snow at Toboggan Runners

Zoom down the water slide toboggan style. This course is filled with dips, hills and fierce competition. Race against friends and family to see who will take first place!

Family Fun at Teamboat Springs

Team up with friends and family to experience one of the longest whitewater raft adventures in the world. There are twists and turns, unpredictable rapids and drenching sprays of water along the way as your oversized inner-tube raft ventures down this thrilling waterslide.

The Ski-riffic Way to Top of Mount Gushmore

My husband is SO excited to not have to walk all the way up Mount Gushmore to take the pludge down his favorite slide!

You'll be taking in the views of the snowy setting as you embark on a leisurely journey to the top of Mount Gushmore on Blizzard Beach’s own chairlift. Dressed in bright colors, this lift will effortlessly transport you to some of the most iconic attractions at the park, including Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher and Teamboat Springs.

And finally...

You’ll love Runoff Rapids

Propel down Mount Gushmore on three unique slides with thrilling twists and turns along the way, ending in a huge splashdown at the bottom.

My family and I cannot wait to check out all the new treats and experiences and enjoy old favorites during our next visit to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.
